A new hotel is headed for Miami International Airport (MIA). The Miami-Dade County Commission approved the construction of a 451-key Westin-brand hotel. The venture will rest on a 1.82-acre build site, offering a rooftop restaurant, spa, fitness center, event space, and more. There’s also a unique building element: a climate-controlled pedestrian bridge connecting the hotel to Concourse D at MIA. The Miami Herald notes that over the course of the 50-year lease, the Westin’s expected to generate at least $250 million in revenue.
